Part Two: The Presentation
Now that you have all of this information, what's next? You have some options. You can create a brochure, a PowerPoint presentation, or a Digital Story. How fun! Decide as a group and then follow the directions below for your option.
** If you have another type of presentation you would like to try, ask me and we can figure out a way to make it happen. **

Brochure
Click here to download the travel brochure template. Make sure you save it in our New Jersey folder. This just gives you an outline to help your group with the design. You can pick and choose where you would like to display the information. Use the facts you found during your webquest. You can add pictures from the internet, but you must cite them. I'm going to ask that you have a section for all of the resources that you used. You may simply copy and paste the websites over. Make sure your brochure has a cover page with something catchy on it to grab people's attention. You can use Tagxedo or Kidpix to create a cover picture. Include all of your names on the cover as well (first name only). I can't wait to see it!
PowerPoint
We have used PowerPoint before so now it is time for you to show what you know. If you do not remember how to create a PowerPoint, I posted a tutorial below. You will need to include a title page. You can be creative with this. You may use Tagxedo, Kidpix or other tools to create your own picture to be included. Make sure you include each group member's first name. You will create slides for your information that you collected on your Information Sheet. Be sure to add pictures and change the design to make it catchy. We want people to come here and you need to convince them. Your final page will be a reference page to cite any websites you used for your information and for images. You must have at least 6 slides total, but may have more.
Digital Story
You have the option to create a Photo Story. For this project, you will need to choose images first for each of the pieces of information that you would like to include (these should be the boxes on your information sheet). You can search the internet for images, but you must copy and paste the website you used onto this PowerPoint slide. This will be your reference slide for the end of your Photo Story.
To save an image on the internet, you must right click on the image, and go to Save Picture As. After that you will need to go to My Computer, Roostu I:, Your Teacher's Name and New Jersey Project folder. You will need to add a new folder and type in your group's name. Make sure you rename your images when you are saving them to help you identify what they are.
Once you are done saving all of the images, watch the tutorial below. This will explain how to create a Photo Story. Your Information Sheet will act like a script. You may want to rephrase the information to make it interesting and add your personality to it. You are more than welcome to turn it into a song or poem. Get creative! Don't forget to add text and a Title page. The Title page needs all of the group members' first names. Have fun!
