Many classrooms are engaging in new technologies. Blogs are booming. Facebook pages are growing in popularity. Of course Twitter is another outstanding resource to use. Well our lab is now officially connected!
I created a Twitter account for our computer lab for everyone to follow (@MrsNolandsLab). You can share with your friends and family things we are doing in the lab. Each class we will create a Twitter post and hang it on our classroom Twitter feed. I will then choose a couple to post on Twitter to share the wonderful things we are learning about.
Twitter used to have an age requirement of 13 years old, but they have lifted this restriction. There is a disclaimer that some services are not for those under 13. Make sure you ask your parents before signing up for Twitter. I recommend creating an account with your parents that you can share. You need an e-mail address to sign up, so you may want to link it to your parents' e-mail.
This will be a great way to connect and to help you get an idea of how to use Twitter properly. Tech tools are growing and new ones are coming out all the time. It is so important to learn how to use them properly and what better place than in the computer lab!
